I watched the Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 3 fight and it was quite a real back and forth affair. Neither man wanted to give the edge to the other and both having a real vision of beating the other prior.
Deontay had been relishing the moment he would get his revenge against Tyson and was eagerly anticipating locking horns with another giant from Manchester . Tyson had been training in Kronk gym with SugarHilll Steward since 2010s and got under his and the other fighter’s wing after the passing away of Emanuel Steward, God Bless his soul.
I will be looking at this from my own perspective, however limited that may be to some, so loet’s go.
Deontay Wilder
Very special chap who is fully capable of ending fights with one hell of a right hand. I personally do not believe it is possible for anyone to dominate a division with just a right hand and this is very well the case with Deontay “The Bronze Bomber” Wilder, progenitor of the ‘BombSquad’ self designation in boxing. He has shown an ability to adapt and dispatch opponents with relative ease, while avoiding all their own strengths. Some would like to say that he does not have a lot of boxing skill but to his credit, he made the best with what he has, with a 93% finish rate and has only lost twice to the same person we will expansiate shortly on.
Tyson Fury
‘The Gypsy King’ has come a long way from uppercutting himself in the face during a match to overcoming dominant world champions such as Wladimir Klitschko and Deontay Wilder, twice. In his last fight, he came in at over 270 pounds and did not seem to miss a step. At all. He was able to go to the 11th round and he outpaced his last opponent Deontay and was able to apply pressure to get the KO win. His size is a tool along with his great skill in his art of boxing in the squared circle and he was able to keep his bounce going into the 11th despite Deontay being clearly winded but finding a way to stay in the fight and still be a massive threat.
Israel
Currently one of the most powerful nations int he world, in ancient times Israel as even much more powerful, with provinces and outstretched lands. The apple of Jehovah’s eye was the envy of all the nations. The Philistines, Amorites, Egyptians, Amalekites, Canaanites and many many others all wanted a piece of Israel but guess what? God was their right hand and was the knock out blow for Israel against all these foreign nations.
Just like Deontay Wilder, Israel was the champion against which all the nations tried fighting against. One nation would come with one strategy, like a left hand, right hand combination. Israel would either defend or avoid those deadly punches and wait for the knockout, which would inevitably come. Another would catch Israel with a few hard shots, few would land clean and others would graze.
Israel would just touch the rest of the punches at their tip, block the rest and then when the opponent gets tired throwing all these wild punches, Israel would again, land the KO. The invading nation would then be down for the count and would later possibly regroup as a bloodied mess or stretched out.
God was always fighting for Israel and He was Israel’s Right hand of Providence. While God was with Israel, no enemy could stand against them. Even their enemies knew of God and they knew that Israel was His only love and they had no chance against them otherwise.
As time went on, Israel got cocky and full of itself and started to think that that knockout power that they possessed came from themselves and not from The Almighty. They really started to think that they could go after the nations without God’s say so and make deals and do anything they felt like doing. They started to even copy the pagan practices of these other nations and were no longer following the voice of the Lord via his Word and his prophets. If anything, Israel really started to get pissed off with doing God’s Will so much, that they actually started to kill the prophets of the Lord!
There always comes a time when enough is enough for the Lord and as evidenced by history, Israel went into captivity a couple of times. God removed the hedge around Israel and every time this happened, there would always be a nation ready to take advantage of this great opportunity to enrich themselves by enslaving God’s powerful children.
One of these captivities involved a prediction by Jesus Christ himself confirming that Israel would once again fall into captivity and the temple would be torn down. This came to pass with the invasion of Emperor Vespasian in 70 A.D.
Rome
During the time of Jesus, Rome had control of Israel and was able to get taxation going. Israel in time, revolted and expelled the Romans which led to General Titus coming back with an army and laying siege to Israel for a few years. This eventually led to Israel’s fall into the hands of the Romans as there was a lot of in-fighting with the Zealots and other factions vying for relevance.
Rome was well aware of what Israel was capable of and they knew that this was their golden opportunity to capture this powerful nation. The massive men of Israel in captivity was a sight to behold and Titus knew that no men such as these of God’s children would ever be slaves to a foreign nation unless God had allowed it. It was kind of the same way Christopher Columbus found the location of the Israelites from bible passages. Israel’s enemies seem to know more about their beliefs and the God they serve than they themselves seem to at certain times as evidenced even today. By God’s Mercy, it will not always be like this.
Israel had forgotten that their right hand’s strength was not of itself but from God Himself and He is their Strength.
Where are the parallels concerning Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Wilder?
Tyson Fury was having a bad time with life and was coming out of depression, drug use, massive weight gain and other issues. As it turns out, he became a christian and turned his life around at a result.
In press conferences, he made an effort to always mention the name of his saviour Jesus Christ, something that Deontay Wilder neglected to do, with devastating effect.
Tyson Fury consequently, was able to fight Deontay Wilder to a draw in which many believed he had won the fight but there were controversies surrounding the knockout delivered by ‘The Bronze Bomber’ to “The Gypsy King’s” head.
Only God, I tell you could have woken Tyson Fury up from that shot. Any other instance, his opponent would have slept for a few more minutes like Artur Szpilka.
Deontay Wilder only really started to catch on to the spiritual side of things after the second fight as he started to reduce his social media presence and keep his peace in the face of adversity. He noticed the adversarial nature of this confrontation and realised that his opponent had the hand of God on his side instead of him.
Deontay Wilder had shown a lot of growth and maturity himself (my opinion) in the lead up to the third fight and it culminated into his reaching the 11th round and truly showing himself as the king that he is with better tempered skill and dexterity. He would ultimately fall to Tyson Fury’s late flurry in this same round as it would inevitably possibly be a case of too little, too late per my analogy.
Conclusions
I hope you enjoyed this write-up as I like to do opinion pieces like this where I just write my thoughts into existence, however wrong you may think they are. The Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury 3 fight was super, Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury are two great heavyweights who had one of the best blistering fights in heavyweight history and both deserve a lot of praise for this awesome feat!
Till next time, Ciao!
